Abstract

Nutritional status indicates the condition of the body that occurs due to the balance between food consumed and the nutritional needs required by the body to function. Each person requires different types and amounts of nutrients depending on age, gender, daily activity level, body weight, and other factors. Mother's knowledge about nutrition plays a very important role in maintaining children's health, especially during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) which is the golden period of growth. Lack of maternal knowledge has the potential to cause nutritional problems in children. Purpose: To determine the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about the first 1000 days of life with the nutritional status of children under two years old at the Cipondoh Health Center, Tangerang City. Research Design: Using quantitative methods with descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling technique: This study used purposive sampling. Number of samples: A total of 275 respondents. Data analysis: Using the Fisher's exact test. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about the first 1000 days of life with the nutritional status of children under two years old at the Cipondoh Health Center, Tangerang City (p-value 0.000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between maternal knowledge about the first 1,000 days of life and the nutritional status of children under two years of age at the Cipondoh Community Health Center in Tangerang City.
