Abstract

Background: Posyandu is managed by health workers and assisting cadres. The function of posyandu is influenced by the activeness of posyandu cadres, the lack of functioning of posyandu cadres so that the posyandu performance is not maximal due to the lack of cadre ability in providing services at Posyandu and the guidance of the health officer then the low interest of the community to use posyandu.

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the activeness of posyandu cadres in the work area of ??Puskesmas Sumarorong.

this research method is analytical with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all Posyandu cadres in the work area of ??Sumarorong Community Health Center consisting of 2 Sub-districts and 8 Villages, each having 1 Posyandu and consisting of 5 cadres perposyandu, and the total number of cadres as many as 50 people with total sampling sampling so overall sample of 50 people. The research was conducted at Pukesmas Sumarorong. Data obtained by using questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS program version 16 and Statistic using Chi-square test with (a = 0,05).

The result of the statistical test shows that cadre knowledge p = 0,000, behavior p = 0,000, education p = 0,002 and have influence on the activity of posyandu cadre.

Conclusion: from result of research in discussion can be concluded that knowledge factor have relation to liveliness of posyandu cadre with value p-value = 0,000. There is correlation between behavioral factor to active posyandu cadres with p-value = 0,000. There is a correlation between education factor to the activeness of posyandu cadres with p-value = 0,000

Suggestion: According to research result, it is suggested to health officer to keep posyandu cadre in conducting posyandu activity, and to government to pay attention to prosperity of posyandu to motivate cadres to be active and enthusiastic in running posyandu.
