Abstract

Background : Various DHF eradication efforts have been carried out, but in recent years expanded DHF endemic areas , this is one of them because of the economic crisis . The role of Head of the Family is one of the determining factors in maintaining the health of the environment and members of his family , a family where the head of household is the decision maker in all things though later the consensus of other family members. Friedman, quoted in Setiadi
Objective: To determine the relationship of attitudes and behavior of the head of a family on the incidence of DHF.

Research Methods : Quantitative Descriptive research design that uses descriptive analytic cross sectional study approach . This research method is Proposive Sampling then obtained a sample of 100 samples . Data obtained by using a questionnaire and analyzed statistically using Chi Square test with a significance value=0.05.

Results: The statistical test showed that the ( p = 0.000 ) on the incidence of DHF.

Conclusion: with increased outreach to the community around the work area of ??each of the diseases as well as an explanation of DHF DHF action against the disease by maintaining their own health and the environment, as well as carrying out routine service work and perform activities of 3M.
